A Very Pink Bathroom Renovation.
did you know?
That according to color theory, it is very difficult to be angry when surrounded by the colour pink.
Which is how I justify using pink in way too many spaces... Plus, I was keen to match the original pink wall toilet.
If you are in need of some pink therapy, come chill in our bathroom.
Here are some pics of our bathroom edit journey. I still need to do a 'final shoot', but I am overthinking it and thus, avoiding it.
Key points to note:
We saved the original vanity cabinet - we removed the sinks and left the original countertop and covered it with trim. The cabinets and doors are all made with mahogany, so I used the the door frame from a door we had removed in another part of the house for the trim to match the vanity cabinet. They were all sanded down and clear coated.
The original closet was deep and blocked the entry of the room. So we pushed it back and made cabinet style doors from MDF. The bobble trim on the top are just 2” wood semi-spheres from the craft store!
PINK grout. Wowsers. It was a mess to apply, but I am so delighted with it.
