Sewing Patterns for Playful Halloween Costumes

September is just days aways… which means autumn is approaching…. which means HALLOWEEN is coming!

I love dreaming up Halloween costumes. Funny thing… I almost always prepare one for myself, but I rarely wear it. I much prefer the design part to the dressing up part. Maybe this year will be different… (prolly not).

Here are some ideas!

The NECK RUFFLE - it adds playful charm to any costume! Plus, sewing a neck ruffle is easy peasy.

The Bird Hat. Still one of my favourite creations. This pattern takes a wee bit more commitment, but I promise you will smile every time you see it! The pattern can be adapted to be a swan, crane, flamingo, or goose - really any long necked bird! The pattern has 2 sizes - child and adult.

The Bunny Collar Cloak! Bunnies are always timeless. If you prefer a different animal, the ears could be switched for something else - the bear ears!

FELT HATS! These might be the easiest to sew. EVER.

There is the Peter Pan Robin Hood Elf Hat. Just one seam and you are ready to roll.

There is also the Gnome Pixie Hat - this one has 2 seams! So EASY.
