A very YELLOW cat.

About a year ago, I chanced on some fat quarters being cleared out at Michaels… in the mix was the most gorgeous YELLOW I have ever found to date. Trust me, I have searched every fabric/quilt shop eve since to see if I could find a yellow that could make my heart soar as this one did.

It has just the right bout of green to it and is ever so slightly electric. In the past months, I have occasionally gazed upon it, dreaming of what I might make with it, always a wee bit afraid to use the little I have.

Until I had the vision to make a CAT. Of course, I used the Whimsy Cat Sewing Pattern - in the Shop or in the ETSY Shop!

I printed the pattern at 80%, just for kicks - I love making something a little different each time.

I also place the ears, so when sewn they would be smaller than the typical whimsy cat. Like so… (I apologies for the appalling photos - it was very dark out - no natural light!)

Her outfit is made from old scraps or thrifted treasures. My favourite way to create doll clothes!
