Arthur Pants Review

This post is loooong over due. I have been too busy wearing my lovely Arthur Pants to be still enough to gush about them.

The first time I wore this outfit, my hubby said I looked like a GRAPE… which I took to be a high compliment, indeed.

Grapes are firm, perfectly oval orbs that lend the best flavour to bubblegum & DQ Misty freezes.

Grapes always remind me of my Gramma Birdie & her jars of dark, delicious, syrupy grape juice concocted from her beloved garden served whenever we visited. Sweet memories.

Fun fact! Grapes also grow in little clusters, just like families or a really fun PARTY…

I’ll take it - I am a GRAPE.

Truth be told, as I was sewing the ARTHUR PANTS, I swore I would NEVER make another pair. The pattern was delightful and YouTube has a sew-a-long that was extremely helpful, but the pants are rather tedious to make for an elastic waist pant…

However, I EAT MY WORDS. I am now planning on making at least 3 more pairs. It was worth every step to make these!!!!

They are very comfortable, the welt seams add some class, and they seem to match every season. Win win win.

I cut a size 4, even though my size was closer to a 6 or 8… I didn't want the pants HUGE. Next time I will try bring all the widest parts in one inch. At a 4, the waist is a little snug pulling on, but it is a good reminder NOT to eat more cookies…. I will keep the size the same for next time, I just might ease out the seam allowance on the waist…

This pattern is EXCELLENT for learning new skills! The pattern is very thoughtfully designed and there are no loose edges anywhere.
